In March 2015 when I wrote this review in Polish I said: PFPX gives me freedom – it helps me in what I need, allowing me to take all the tasks that I want to perform myself. With Professional Flight Planner X I can enjoy a well prepared flight without sacrificing precious time for tedious tasks of collecting and copying data. On the other hand – virtual flying is just a hobby of mine – I do not have hours to plan every flight, I do not have time to collect NOTAMS and METARS from several sources. For my flights I want to have a serious flight plan that I created, checked and accepted. Try it – you will be delighted! What did I gain with PFPX? Actually it made me more interested in flying airliners as it positively transformed the entire experience. For me, PFPX changed the way I plan my flights. If you are up to the job – I strongly recommend it. It is up to you if you create great and realistic flight plans with it. It is an amazing tool! But you need to remember that it is just a tool. It's a valuable and realistic addition to your flight simulation experiences, enabling you to create professional quality flight plans similar to those used by real-world airlines. After two months of learning I am ready to review Aerosoft’s Professional Flight Planner X. Hi I'm running XPlane 11 on Windows 10 and want a 'free standing' flight planning package - ie one that can be used in Windows when XPlane is off line. But the biggest asset here is certainly the flexibility to change those plans after creating a route. It is very easy and quick to do flightplans. XFlightplanner slightly buggy in places, but not overwhelming in a way to want you to go somewhere else find another flightplanner and there is no doubt these few niggles will be quickly worked out. Via the simbrief downloader your flightplan is imported in many format, for most of the airliners used in P3D/FSX/Xplane. Simbrief is the most professional flight planner available and is, icing on the cake, free. There are generally more than one SID and each is best if your flight plan is going where that SID is designed for. Picking the right one depends on your flight plan. You get to SIDs by going to the ARR/DEP button.
